H I G H ☥ P O S I T I O N S
These are the high positions. We all know what high positions are, but since this is Egyptian inspired, I think they will have to be explained, not in full detail, but put simply. Some positions might have specifics for the potions. Like, the position of Thoth, the scribe.
PHARAOH & P H A E
Pharaoh, Praa - The leader of the clan of cats. He takes care of his members, and family members, he is known as the 'Ra'. He also comes from a family of 'royal blood'. Unlike the Warrior Cats Clans, they do not chose a deputy, but instead they have an heir, one of their own family, to succeed the Pharaoh. The Pharaoh receives nine lives from his ancestors when he becomes Pharaoh. When the Pharaoh dies, the Praadu - the Pharaoh's heir - in turn receives nine lives, and so on.
Pharaoh's Heir, Praadu - Next in line to leadership of the group cats, whither anyone likes him or not. When he is young, he is brought up under the care of the Phae, and his own privet nurse. He is royalty, and is treated as such. In other words, he is the Kin of the Pharaoh himself.
Phae - Otherwise known as, the Queen. She comes from a royal family from within the same group of cats, specially chosen by the Pharaoh more for her looks, than her personality, although it all fits into the equation. The Phae doesn't play much of a role, and is destined to become the mate/wife of the Pharaoh. Once she is chosen, she is taken from the family at six moons to go and live in with the Pharaoh. She is also known as the Pharaoh's only Soul mate. Although, she does not receive nine lives.
Phae's Heir, Phaedu - She is chosen as the queen to the heir of the Pharaoh. She is chosen from a royal family, and taken at six moons to live with the Pharaoh and Phae. She is raised by a nurse, and taught everything she needs to know about being the next queen.
note - rarely do the Phae and the Heir meet face to face. Though it is absolutely possible for the two meet. As for the Pharaoh and his Heir, they're family. I would expect nothing more than a family feud every now and then.
THE ANUBIS, THE SEKH & THE BAST
The Anubis - It is a little weird to think of a cat playing the part of the Anubis. But, the Anubis is like the Warrior Cats Medicine Cat. He takes care of everything from embalming, to basic medicine within the group of cats - or should, in case something should happen to the Sekh. When he is old in age, then he will take on an apprentice. He attends meetings with the Pharaoh, when he calls.
The Sekh - The healer, the one true medicine cat. This cat's job is to see that every cat within the group is properly taken care of, should they ever fall sick. This position is much higher than the Anubis, and when you compare the two, the Anubis seems like only a small part of what the Sekh could possibly do themselves.
The Bast - Pretty typical, the Bast is the body guard of the Pharaoh, and the Phae, and the rest of the family. Their job is pretty basic, Protect land and Pharaoh with your life should the call ever raise. Between the Pharaoh and the Phae, there is a sum of only four body guards - two for the Pharaoh, and two for the Phae. The Bast is chosen by their keen eye sight, and sense of hearing.
THE TOTH ☼
Toth - The scribe, the writer. The Thoth is responsible for keeping track of all important events, and is pretty well known to be a mute. If the Pharaoh wants something documented, then he calls upon the Toth to write it down, no matter what time of the night. There can be as many as four within the royal home.
LOW ☥ P O S I T I O N S
These are the lower ranking positions. Though they are low ranking, they are very important to the clans, for they provide for, and protect the clan.
PTAH & MA'AT
Ptah - These are the lower ranking hunters. They go out, and hunt for the clan, much like the warriors. These would generally be females, and sometimes males.
Ma'at - The protectors, the warriors if you will. These are generally made of the males. They need to be strong, and show devotion.
note on generals: each ma'at and ptah has their own 'high-commander', or in this case, General. It is the General's duty to see that the apprentices are trained, that patrols get out, and that that the next Bast's are trained by the best of the best!
